Job Description:
Our client is looking for an Accounting Assistant to support various accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, collections, and administrative tasks. This role is essential for maintaining the daily financial operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable: Process credit memos, assist with tax filings, manage customer accounts, and conduct weekly aging reports
- Accounts Payable: Match invoices, process vendor payments, manage discounts, and handle inquiries
- Freight Management: Process and reconcile invoices for inbound, outbound, and third-party shipments
- General Support: Assist with phone support, handle mail pickups, manage records, and provide backup for administrative duties
- End-of-Year Tasks: Shred and archive records and set up new files for the year
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sage X3
- Degree plus 1 year of experience, or 2-3 years of experience without a degree
- Strong attention to detail, reliable work ethic, and a team player
Additional Details:
- Start Date: November 11
- Dress Code: Business casual (jeans on Fridays)
- Team Structure: Collaborative team of 10, including roles such as controller, accounting supervisor, AP and AR specialists, and payroll
