Reporting to the Director of Finance, position will aid in keeping accounts and records to support the Finance Department.It will be primarily focused on accounts payable, data entry, and general Finance Department responsibilities.
The JCC work environment is usually fast paced.This job requires high energy and interaction with staff as well as with members, community leaders, and outside vendors.May require occasional weekend and evening hours.
Minimum Qualifications:Essential Functions
- Process vendor payables, maintains database, and keep files up to date.
- Process weekly, ad hoc check runs and distribute/mail checks.
- Maintains calendar of service contracts and bill due dates.
- Work with department heads to ensure proper approval and documentation of all expenses.
- Assists vendors and staff in identifying payment problems and inquiries as to payment dates.Reviews vendor statements and follow up as necessary.
- Data entry to include:
- Credit card payments and cash disbursements
- Budget information
- Quickbooks (Desktop)
- CRM Software
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations, budget preparation, monthly close out procedures, preparing and distribution of monthly reports.
- Processes repetitive credit card charges, maintains and distributes reports.
- Assist with year-end audit and IRS reporting.Prepares annual 1099's and deactivate vendors as appropriate.
- Identify areas for process improvement, and implement changes as agreed upon with Director of Finance.
- Participates in departmental and agency training, staff meetings, committees, and special events.

- Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Director of Finance and CEO.
Job Scope
Recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm. Job involves a moderate degree of complexity, with the necessity of attention to detail and the ability to prioritize. Operates from established procedures, but may have to use creativity in meeting the needs of the department or member. Must be able to handle confidential information of our team members and customers with the utmost discretion.
Work is on premises, with some flexibility for remote environment.
Education and/or Experience
- Bookkeeping Experience
- Quickbooks (Desktop)
- CRM Software
- Microsoft Excel and Word
- Very good written and verbal skills
- Database skills preferred
- Payroll (ADP or Paycom) preferred
$45,000 - $55,000
