Accounting & Billing Specialist - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Ledgent is partnering with a growing client in the insurance industry to find an Accounting & Billing Specialist to add to their team. This role is a permanent position, paying between $60,000-65,000/annually while offering wonderful benefits! The office is located in Southington, CT with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing premium & reinsurance calculations
• Preparing investment & AR roll forwards
• Financial statements & regulatory filings
• Bank reconciliations
• Customer billing - processing online via ACH & credit card payments
• Review & resolve escheat balances
• Partner with underwriting & claims department to resolve issues
• Additional projects assigned by CFO as needed

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in BOTH accounting & billing
• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is considered a plus!
• Insurance industry experience is required (P&C, health, life)
