Overview: As an Accounting and Bookkeeping Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing our financial records, including handling purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will collaborate closely with our team to generate and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, processing accounts payable and receivable, and managing invoices and tax payments.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and record financial transactions at the business unit level.
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
- Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow and profit and loss statements.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports.
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Review and implement financial policies.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in bookkeeping tasks.
- Utilize bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases proficiently.
- Apply strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Perform accurate data entry and exhibit a knack for numbers.
- Associate's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field is highly desirable and may substitute for some experience requirements.
- Proficiency in SAP is required.
- Knowledge of German is advantageous but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.

- Prior experience in a similar role is required.
