Talon is a small business staffing and engineering firm providing innovative, end-to-end, rapid turn solutions to our government and commercial clients.  Founded in 2019, Talon employs over 150 Aerospace and Defense engineers and other support staff to solve problems for a variety of applications to include aircraft, ballistics, cybersecurity, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, missiles, and warheads. Talon has an office in Tucson, AZ that is providing staffing solutions,  technical services support, and manufacturing to Fortune 500 companies.

Accounting and Business Intelligence Job Description: 

The Accounting and Business Intelligence will be involved in everything from providing your thoughts on business strategy to preparing journal entries, financial statements, and budgets.  You'll work directly with the leadership team providing help with the development and modification of our accounting system, data extraction and analysis, account reconciliation, month-end close responsibilities and improvement of our organizational processes and procedures to gain efficiency and provide value to internal and external customers. You'll support our accounting, leadership team, and contracts with analysis and reporting to improve operations. We are looking for a driven, organized individual with the right attitude, and a passion for finding ways to be effective to help manage the firm's growth. Primary Qualifications:

• Accounting – Implementing and maintaining the systems and processes to track tactical information throughout the enterprise.  Must be well versed in Microsoft Excel and comfortable reviewing/auditing others' work in same. Experience with ERP systems a plus
• Reporting and Storytelling with Data – Assisting executives and managers to gain better visibility to key information and maintain analytical reports to track resource utilization and constraints
• Contract Analysis - Translating customer contractual requirements into operating plans, work breakdown structures, resource allocation reviews.
• Planning , Analysis, Data Organization -  Assisting the team in gathering, scheduling, analyzing, and organizing contractual and analytical data for efficient use
• Estimating - Prepare and analyze proposals with focus on acceptable  “Basis of Estimate” concepts.   DFAR/FAR experience is helpful but not required.
• Performs other duties as assigned
