Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk will assist the Commercial Accounting Manager in providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization. This position is primarily responsible for site document controls needs and coordinating new job setups. Under direct supervision, this function will complete defined tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures requiring some problem-solving skills and will support the general business operations by providing administrative support activities such as data entry, reporting, and basic analysis requiring attention to detail.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
The Accounting Clerk will assist the Commercial Accounting Manager in providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization. This position is primarily responsible for site document controls needs and coordinating new job setups. Under direct supervision, this function will complete defined tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures requiring some problem-solving skills and will support the general business operations by providing administrative support activities such as data entry, reporting, and basic analysis requiring attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily work any document control needs for construction group.
- Maintaining Project files and job setups.
- Monitoring client system for New PO’s and/or Change orders.
- Coordinate via email paperwork for new jobs and/or changes.
- Ensure jobs or changes updated in system throughout day.
- Organize & Prioritize Daily activities to ensure deadlines meet.
- Works with Commercial Accounting Manager/Site Superintendent/Construction Managers to resolve issues to allow for accurate setup.
- Assists management with ad-hoc requests, including special projects and initiatives.
- Observes and complies with all safety rules.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an office environment.
- Prior accounting experience preferred.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding Customer, Client and employee information.
- The ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing quality work in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Must be able to work individually and in a team.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Day to day working knowledge of SAP ERP preferred.
