Volt is immediately hiring for an Accounting Clerk in Carlsbad, Ca.
Pay rate $23.00-25.00/hr
Performs accounts receivable and accounting functions according to established procedures or as directed by accounting supervisor.
As an Accounting Clerk you will:
- Invoice saily sales orders
- Invoice Drop shipments AP and AR invoices
- Receive and process incoming payments, including checks, wire transfers, credit card payments, and electronic payments.
- Accurately apply payments to the correct customer accounts in the accounting system.
- Identify and resolve payment discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Reconcile daily cash receipts and investigate and resolve variances.
- Answers accounts receivable phone inquires and follow-ups
- Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts
- Monitor collections and contact and follow up with customers if needed to collect payment
- Assists the Accounting Supervisor
This is a full time opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous Accounting experience
- Strong administrative, communications, and customer skills are essential
- Requires tact and courtesy in dealing with individuals both inside and outside
- Math capacity, attention to detail, and ability to organize and handle multiple activities
- High school diploma
- Must be able to work on routine assignments with knowledge and good judgment
