Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk:
- Create, review, and process invoices accurately . Ensure all necessary details, including itemized charges, due dates, and customer information, are correct before finalizing
- Reconcile incoming payments with outstanding invoices, ensuring accurate application to client accounts. Verify payment methods, amounts, and reference numbers to prevent errors in records. Address and resolve any mismatches promptly.
- Investigate inconsistencies between account records, payments, and invoices.
- Proactively manage outstanding balances by contacting clients with overdue accounts. Communicate professionally to arrange payment plans, negotiate settlements if necessary, and keep accurate records of all interactions. Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain up-to-date accounts receivable aging.
- Assists in Accounts Payable department
What they are looking for in an Accounting Clerk:
- 3-5+ years of accounts receivable experience, with proven expertise in managing AR processes.
- Experience with multi-entity is a huge plus
- Basic Excel skills, including data entry and simple formula functions to aid in data management and reporting.
