Job Overview

The Accounting Clerk will play an essential role in managing financial records, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role will be pivotal in upholding our company's standards of excellence and precision.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including data entry and organization

of financial information.

● Utilize QuickBooks to manage accounts, track transactions, and generate financial reports.

● Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.

● Conduct job costing functions as needed to support project-based financial assessments.

● Perform balance sheet reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

● Conduct financial analysis to assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts.

● Maintain organized records of all accounting-related documentation and correspondence.

● Prepare and present key performance indicator reports to inform financial decision-making.

● Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

● Stay informed of industry standards to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications

● Proven experience in an accounting role, ideally within the construction or related industry.

● Proficiency in QuickBooks, with familiarity in job costing and construction accounting a plus.

● Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly double-entry bookkeeping.

● Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.

● Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborative work within the team.

● A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
