Accounting Clerk (Early Career) - USOC Medical

Role and Responsibilities

• Accesses computerized information utilizing accounting software to maintain vendor/customer contacts, records, store and analyze information

• Calculates, prepares and issues invoices, account statements according to established procedures

• Reconciles receivable information against General Ledger balances

• Records cash receipts and maintains daily revenue data and records

• Facilitates timely payments by customers and may conduct customer inquiries

• Coordinates collection efforts with manager and maintains log of customer collection calls

• Processes customer credits as required

• Prepares itemized statements and invoices and records amounts due for items purchased or services rendered

• Assists with resolution of discrepancies in accounting records, as needed

• Performs general office duties such as filing, answering telephones and handling routine correspondence

• Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department

• May perform other duties as assigned

Education, Training and Skills

• 3 or more years’ experience in accounts receivable/payable

• Experience with accounting software; Oracle Netsuite preferred

• 10-Key experience within an accounting function

• Email and written messaging with intermediate Excel knowledge

• Proficient English abilities required

• Excellent time-management skills

• Ability to follow documented procedures, standards and policies

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
