Multifamily Property Management
Job DescriptionThe Accounting Assistant, under the guidance of an A/R Manager, will perform general administrative and specialized support to the Accounting Department, requiring strong attention-to-detail and multi-tasking ability, independent judgement skills, and the ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment.
Pay: $19 - $22 / Hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate data entry of information into databases
- Scanning and recording deposits into cash logs.
- Daily entry of Op Cash receipts.
- Caspian: Deposit check, email receipt and back up to Abass.
- Orlands: Create letter, mail A/P billing.
- Payroll
- Upload payroll A/R file from HR into Corporate Yardi.
- Daily entry of payroll receipts.
- Management Fees
- Data entry of management fees into spreadsheet.
- Upload file, print and create binder.
- WW HOAS: create letter, update to current invoices, mail packet.
- Reports
- A/R Report: Run delinquency reports, create spreadsheet, forward to Property Accountants (GLs).
- Accurate alphabetical and numerical filing of accounting documents
- Prepare files for year-end transfer to permanent storage. Will involve lifting boxes up to 35 pounds.
- General filing as required and/or assigned.
- General Administrative Support
- Assist the department in carrying out various administrative support functions including record keeping, file maintenance and data entry.
- Respond to all requests and questions from staff and/or vendors in a timely manner and with a customer-service oriented mindset. Requests and questions could come from a variety of sources: phone, email, in-person, etc. and responses require a high level of professionalism and tact.
- Other
- Comply with all FPI policies and procedures.
- Promote a professional image by adhering to FPI Management's Dress Code Policy.
- Conduct displayed must be of a professional manner when communicating with employees, residents, prospective residents, clients, vendors, and guests while representing FPI Management.
- Perform any and all functions as directed by the supervisor, including special project assistance
- Responsible for meeting all training requirements for the position (Grace Hill, Safety Meetings, etc.).
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar department support role, with heavy emphasis on filing and data entry tasks, preferably within a Residential Property Management company.
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Average computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite, QuickBooks, email, internet, etc.). Yardi experience helpful. Typing: 40 WPM, 8,000 KSPH (alpha-numeric), 10,000 KSPH (10-key).
