Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Our client in Hampton, GA, has an immediate need for an Accounting Clerk to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is perfect for someone with strong Accounts Payable experience and the ability to support various accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing and auditing against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare customer invoices and manage collections.
- Handle large data files related to customer invoicing, commission calculations, and vendor accounts payable.
- Cross-train and serve as backup for invoicing, accounts payable, cash receipts, and sales tax functions.
- Adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and unexpected events.
- Provide support for the A/P coordinator and assist with receptionist duties as needed.
- Assist with ad hoc requests from the finance team.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 2 years of accounts payable experience.
- Strong payroll experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
