Accounting Clerk - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

$24-$28/hr

Location: Haverhill, MA

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and supporting the overall operations of the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry for invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and statements.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Support the payroll process by verifying employee hours and assisting with payroll-related inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and year-end audits.
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payments.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
• Help streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Proven experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:
