Accounting Clerk Internship - Innovative Health LLC

About the Job
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for various accounting tasks activities and will support other accounting tasks as assigned, i.e such as general journal entries, account reconciliations, customer cash receipts application, sales commission calculations, and sales and use tax calculations.
- Process/post Accounts Payable (AP) invoices/vouchers in the Company's JDE system.
- Confirm invoice/receiver/purchase document matching.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies by working with the purchasing department.
- Reconcile vendor statements received. Resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Organize and maintain AP vendor files.
- Obtain and maintain vendor Form W-9's for year-end reporting.
- Process/post AP payments to suppliers and generate manual checks as required.
- Reconcile AP related activity detail to the general ledger.
- Format, account code and post expense reimbursement activity to the general ledger.
- Format, account code monthly credit card activity to the general ledger.
- Calculate monthly sales commissions and related activity for review and processing.
- Calculate monthly sales and use tax amounts for review.
- Apply/post Accounts Receivable payments to customer accounts.
- Generate weekly customer statements and monitor past due accounts.
- Assist Staff Accountant with various projects supporting the month-end accounting close.
Education, Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in accounting or finance preferred, or degree in process.
- 0 - 1+ years' general accounting experience. Innovative Health will provide all detailed training.
- JD Edwards or other ERP experience a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft office products including Excel & Word.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills.
