Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk who willbe responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, including the set-up of new hires in Unanet and Paylocity. The ideal candidate will ensureaccurate andtimely payroll operations while adhering to company policies and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile vendor bills with purchase orders, packing lists, and inventory receipts; resolve discrepancies and record in the accounting system.
- Record and track multi-entity vendor invoices through the approval process.
- Attach required documentation to bills in the accounting system.
- Process multi-entity bills weekly, considering due and discount dates.
- Monitor vendor aging reports weekly and follow up as needed.
- Maintain updated vendor files with documentation such as W-9s and credit applications.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues.
- Assist employees in submitting travel and reimbursement claims.
- Support the annual audit process.
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Set up new hires in Unanet and Paylocity, including onboarding, benefits enrollment, and time tracking.
- Maintain payroll records, address payroll inquiries, and distribute reports to management.
Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations; assist with year-end activities like W-2 processing.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to optimize payroll processes and conduct audits for compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience.
- Proficiency in Unanet and Paylocity preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
