ACCOUNTING CLERK - Spherion

Now hiring for Accounting Clerk. Spherion of Rhode Island currently has Accounting Clerk opportunities available to support our local, industry leading customer. Our Accounting Clerk will be working a first shift with limited required OT. The Accounting Clerk will support our customers for entering orders into QuickBooks, managing phone communications, and providing support to our sales team Mon thru Fri. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Enter customer orders into QuickBooks accurately and efficiently.
Answer incoming phone calls from customers and representatives, providing excellent customer service.
Communicate effectively with sales representatives and customers regarding product availability and order status.
Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, for various tasks.
Solve problems and address inquiries related to orders and product availability.
Work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Maintain organized records and files to support accounting operations.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance.
Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new tasks and processes quickly.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; Associate?s Degree preferred.
Proficient in QuickBooks or Sage accounting software.
Basic computer skills with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office functions.
