Overview of the Inventory Control Clerk Role:
As an Inventory Control Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient inventory processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and managing inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Conducting regular physical counts and reconciling discrepancies between physical and system inventory.
- Coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate and timely inventory transactions.
- Generating and analyzing inventory reports to support decision-making and optimize inventory levels.
- Complete paperwork and verify quantities returned, analyze returned products to determine if product should be disposed of
Required Qualifications for the Inventory Control Clerk:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in Business or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role, ideally within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
