American Hardwood Industries, located in Waynesboro, VA is seeking a Accounting Clerk. Accounting knowledge, reconciliation skills, and software proficiency are key requirements to be successful in this position.
Responsibilities include processing cash receipts, customer statements, collecting past due invoices, general ledger entries, monthly closing activities, HR admin assistance. Ordering office supplies and cross training in other roles in the accounting department. Knowledge of SAP is highly recommended. Computer skills are important and proficiency in Microsoft Office software, with a heavy emphasis on Excel, is required. Communication skills are also important as this position works with various departments and locations within the Company as well as external auditors.
An Associate's Degree in accounting or a minimum of four years experience working with a computerized accounting system is required. Qualified candidates having experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
