Accounting Clerk – Urgently Hiring at Express Employment Professionals

Express has paired with a local property management company and we are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join their team.  As part of the Accounting Team, this position’s responsibilities will include accounts receivable, month end entries, cash monitoring, and financial statement preparation for multiple properties. The ideal candidate will possess a professional demeanor, have excellent organizational skills, thrive in a task driven environment and be highly self-motivated. 

Wage: $18-$20/hr based on experience

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Job Duties:

• Reconciles bank accounts, prepare and post journal entries for all general ledger accounts.
• Perform month end close and journal entries.
• Process tenant rent payments, Housing assistance payments and all other cash receipts, prepare bank deposits.
• Manage cash positions by updating G/L daily.
• Monitor and execute requested resident and client transactions.
• Payroll timesheet entry
• Perform intercompany transactions and generate subsequent repayments.
• Works with front line staff to resolve rent deposit discrepancies.
• Reconcile year end accounts in preparation for annual audits. Work with auditors on requested information.
• Process W2s and 1099''s

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in accounting preferred or equivalent accounting experience
• Strong general ledger, accounts receivable knowledge required.
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Looking for candidates that possess the ability to prioritize tasks based on tight deadlines and shift as necessary.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possess a high level of problem solving and investigative skills.
