Job Details
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant, to join our growing team.
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers to ensure timely payment.
- Process customer payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and account balances in the accounting system.
- Assist with credit checks and credit limit assessments for new and existing customers.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports for management review.
Purchasing:
- Assist with the purchasing process by processing customer orders, and tracking deliveries.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Verify purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain purchasing records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support the sales team in sourcing new suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable, purchasing, or finance-related role, preferably in the software or technology industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
