What you will gain:
As an Accounting/Finance Intern, you will gain valuable knowledge and experience in the field through hands-on activities, coaching, and projects. A few learning opportunities include:
Financial Analysis: Assisting in analyzing financial data and preparing reports to support business decisions.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data and updating financial models.
Accounts Management: Helping manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
Reconciliations: Performing account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Audit Support: Assisting in internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies through regular reviews and audits.
Expense Tracking: Monitoring and reporting on company expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements and management reports to provide insights into financial performance.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including operations and sales, to support financial planning and analysis activities.
What you need to be successful:
Education:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a field related to the internship
Minimum GPA requirement of a 3.0
Skills:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Basic project management or organizational skills.
Personal Attributes:
Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Positive attitude and adaptability to new challenges.
Availability:
Willingness to commit to the internship duration, typically 10-12 weeks for a summer internship
