Accounting/Finance - Processor - Accounts Payable (Entry Level) at The Fountain Group

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Accounts Payable Processor for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in ­­Fargo, ND. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• Pay: $20/hour to start! 

• Assignment Length: 2 months with possibility of extension or conversion based on performance & budget. 
• Shift: Monday - Friday, standard shift, 100% ONSITE
• Responsibilities include: 
  • Understand the accounts payable process including but not limited to general ledger coding, accruals, prepaid policies, CapEx policies and 1099 reporting. 
  • Ensure that SOX requirements are met while functioning with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure that all bills are approved according to the approval authority matrix based on manager level, amount and type of purchase. 
  • Ensure company processes and procedures are clearly defined, updated and documented. 
  • Coordinate with the tax department to ensure sales and use tax is assessed appropriately on vendor transactions based on tax rules for applicable jurisdiction.
  • Assist with maintenance and reconciliation of a variety of ledgers, reports and account record; prepare for and assist with financial audit fieldwork requests. 
  • Post transactions to accounts payable system; verify, correct and balance accounts payable system; generate payments; validate payments; match payments in vouchers; process payments to vendors; review statements for accuracy and completeness. 

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma/GED REQUIRED. AS or BS degree in finance or related industry a plus!

• 1+ years of relevant work experience!
• Ability to perform a variety of general clerical duties including filing, mail sorting and scanning.
