The Accounting & FP&A Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day financial activities of the organization in support of the CEO & Controller. This role will be controlling its financial resources and ensuring that all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, monitor and develop CEO specific reporting including financial, cost and sales trends.
- Develop new data analysis and insights.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets related to the organization.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders.
- Implement and monitor changes to improve operational effectiveness and reduce costs.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on business operations.
- Assist in the development and execution of the company’s strategic plans.
- Analyzing the organization’s revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast its short, medium, and long-term cash flow position.
- Managing basic bookkeeping practices and ensure GAAP financial practices.
- Implement cost reduction strategies based on financial systems and analysis reports.
- Administer box server users and records for the accounting department ensuring they stay current and organized.
- Develop and implement key weekly, monthly flash reporting for all divisions and departments.
- Work with company leaders to create effective financial budget systems and aid in cost trend analysis and recommendations based on managers needs.
- Simplify company reporting by streamlining reporting dashboards and information to be more effective.
- Responsible for writing SOP’s for accounting and identify best practices for future growth.
- Financial reporting responsibilities to include but not limited by:
- Identify and develop cost reduction strategies based on trend analysis.
- Provide investment guidance by reviewing capital spending and margin.
- Provide Controller, CEO & COO in-depth performance dashboard and information.
- Provide the Controller with active daily working capital analysis for best management of AR, AP, & ARLOC.
- Manage capital spending reports by division and evaluation of return on capital.
- Keep updated debt analysis worksheets.
- Manage daily cash reconciliation and reporting to Controller.
- Payroll allocation reporting.
- Fuel allocation reporting.
- Vendor analysis reporting and trends.
- Procurement specific reporting.
- Job cost control and customer acct analysis.
- Divisional financial reporting needs.
- Manage bonus and commission statements.
- Assist CEO/Controller as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager, Financial Analyst, or Business Analyst.
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
- Ability to manipulate and interpret large amounts of data.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
- Extended periods of sitting or standing.
- Lift or carry up to 15 lbs.
- Will work in an office environment.
- Be available to travel if needed.
