Their current customers use the software for everything from real-time climate monitoring to connected appliances. With your help, they will maximize the social and commercial potential of the Internet of Things.
Role
As an Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of our client's accounting operations, working closely with their finance team. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to essential financial processes and gain exposure to multiple areas within an accounting department. You will work part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, with potential consideration for a full-time position upon completion of the internship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cash application and reconciliation as well as other reconciliations (e.g. prepaids, accruals, fixed assets)
- Support ad hoc projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Participate in compliance-related tasks and help maintain accurate financial records.
- Gain exposure to various functions within the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting with planned graduation around spring 2025 or a related field and located in the Denver, CO area
- Strong interest in accounting and finance, with a desire to learn and grow in the field
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office software
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
