Job Details
Our company, a leading player in the scientific industry, is in search of a dynamic and experienced Accounting Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be a key player in our finance department, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be challenged to apply your accounting skills and knowledge to complex financial issues.
Responsibilities:
As a Accounting Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and executing the month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, and performing account reconciliations.
2. Ensuring compliance with IFRS, ASC 606, and other relevant accounting standards in all financial transactions and reporting.
3. Working closely with the finance team to implement and optimize SAP or equivalent ERP system.
4. Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
5. Assisting in the planning and execution of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, valuation, and integration.
6. Collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests, and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised.
7. Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff, and assisting in their professional development.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the scientific or related industry.
3. Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP system, and advanced knowledge of IFRS and ASC 606.
4. Proven experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close process.
5. Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, valuation, and integration.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
7. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior staff.
8. High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
