About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Consultant Accounting Lead! As a Consultant Accounting Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of financial operations
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, leading a team of skilled professionals, and contributing to the strategic financial goals of the organization
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills and a passion for driving financial excellence
Your daily duties and responsibilities in the Consultant Accounting Lead role will generally include:Lead a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
Oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures
Manage and coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial results are current
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports prepared by the team
Collaborate with department heads to gather budget inputs and provide financial insights
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement best practices
Coordinate external audits, providing documentation, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a smooth audit process
Conduct regular financial analyses to identify trends and variances
Provide insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and oversee the timely filing of tax returns
Qualifications include:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA preferred
Experience in accounting leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel
Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
