About the Job
Accounting Manager
Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing company, is seeking an exceptional Accounting Manager to join their accounting and finance team
This role involves managing multiple general ledger functions, closing the books, preparing financial statements, and developing staff members
The successful candidate will work closely with the accounting team and other business units to improve cross-functional processes and related system solutions
This position is fully in-office in Austin, Texas
This is a manufacturing facility, and the candidate will need to be onsite daily to work hand in hand with the team.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations and close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement variance analysis, and monthly internal and external financial reporting.
Manage end-to-end processes, ensuring proper transactional accounting and system solutions for accurate financial reporting.
Work with the Controller on various technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and equity accounting.
Assist with ERP implementation and adoption.
Collaborate on the development of policies and procedures as the organization scales.
Manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and build strong cross-functional relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of accounting experience preferred.
Previous experience managing and developing a team.
Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), practices, and procedures.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret financial documents and contracts.
Ability to think outside the box and be nimble.
Deadline-driven with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace.
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
Experience with Netsuite (preferred) or other accounting ERP systems.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Compensation:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $95K - $125K per year.
