About the Company and Overview of the Role:
- Our new client is a staple in the local hospitality industry, very well known in the Baltimore area.
- Due to growth in the business, they are looking to hire an Accounting Manager on a contract to hire basis who is able to hit the ground running!
- Hours: 9am-5pm M-F 100% on site in Baltimore, MD

Job Duties:
- Manage day-to-day accounting department functions
- Serve as backup for general accountants, AP, AR, etc. when needed
- Manage month and year end close process
- Reconcile accounts to general ledger
- Review financial statements and accruals
- Oversee fixed assets and depreciation entries and retirements
- Ensure all taxes are paid in a timely manner
- Go to for external auditors during annual audit
- Assist with budget preparation and creation
Qualifications for the Role:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required. CPA or MBA a plus, but not required
- 5+ years' accounting experience
- Experience using Oracle preferred, but not required
- Expertise with QuickBooks required
- Proficient Excel skills
- Supervisory experience highly preferred
