Job Details
Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the company’s financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions. This position will manage the accounting team, ensure accurate financial data, and provide strategic insights to support business decisions in the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, develop financial forecasts, and track performance against budgets. Provide analysis of variances and recommend corrective actions.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, promoting a culture of collaboration and professional growth. Conduct regular performance evaluations and training sessions.
Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including tax filings and reporting. Coordinate external audits and prepare necessary documentation.
Cost Management: Analyze operational costs and profitability of various agricultural products. Work with production and procurement teams to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
