The Role
The Accounting Manager works in our corporate headquarters. The role is an excellent opportunity to showcase your accounting and analytical skills and work in a position where you can be recognized for your contributions.
This role will support the activities of the General Accounting function, assisting with preparing the company's internal and external financial reporting, managing and reviewing the workload of two direct reports, responding to requests from our external auditors and participating in internal controls compliance.

Core Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing manual journal entries
- Preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Producing timely, accurate consolidated financial reports and analyses.
- Supervising the senior general ledger accountant and accounting assistant
- Participate in the planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external financial reporting.
- Researching and providing advice on properly treating routine and non-routine accounting transactions.
- Analyzing new and proposed accounting standards issued by the SEC and the FASB to determine the impact on the company and assist in implementing new accounting standards as required.
- Providing information and support to business units to meet US GAAP requirements.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of new procedures and policies, as needed.
- Continuous improvement of existing processes in the Accounting Department.
- Participating in the annual independent financial audits and reviews.
- Completion of special projects and performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Timely communication with the accounting team members, peers, senior management and external partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics from an accredited university - required
- CMA/CPA - preferred
- Minimum 5-years combined public and industry accounting experience - preferred
- Manufacturing experience - preferred
- Minimum 5-years month-end close processing experience - required
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations experience - required
- Technically solid accounting/US GAAP skills with close attention to detail - required
- International subsidiaries and foreign currency experience - preferred
- Experience working with an extensive ERP system- required; SAP -preferred
- Advanced skills with MS Excel and MS Word - required.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills - required
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills -required
