We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department. This position is ideal for a dynamic professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, and a proven ability to lead and inspire a team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the accounting department, including the preparation of monthly financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department. This position is ideal for a dynamic professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, and a proven ability to lead and inspire a team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the accounting department, including the preparation of monthly financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform variance analysis and prepare account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
- Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
- Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
- Maintain financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
