About the Job
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to become a permanent member of our client's team in Sherman Oaks, CA! The Accounting Manager will be responsible for oversight of A/P and A/R functions including billing and collections, month end close and reporting, budgeting, and cash flow reports. The Accounting Manager will report to the President.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Owner with financial information; prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, coordinate year-end financial close with outside CPA tax firm.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Supervising and monitoring the financial integrity of the general ledger and accounting systems
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Oversee the payroll process and ensure accurate calculation and distribution of payroll
- Leading financial statement reviews and assisting with tax return filings
- Preparation of accurate monthly financial reports, forecasting business activity, and analyzing financial position
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, emphasizing experience in the construction industry
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of accounting principles and functions
- Construction project accounting software (Sage 100 Contractor) experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
