Venteon Finance is currently seeking an ACCOUNTING MANAGER for a stable and growing publicly held client.
REQUIREMENTS of the Accounting Manager role
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting
- CPA Designation Required
- Combination of both Public Accounting and Corporate experience
- Public Company experience
- Previous experience managing / supervising a team
- Lead and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes for North America, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.
- Review and approve journal entries, ensuring they are properly recorded and documented in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Review account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial information and assist the team in resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Review monthly fluctuation analyses and assist with providing explanations for significant or unusual changes in balances
- Perform technical accounting research as needed and be able to implement where required
- Perform work to maintain Internal Audit/SOX compliance.
- Assist with audits and interact with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support
