Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure adherence to corporate guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Utilize Netsuite to streamline and automate financial processes and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a senior role within the manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with financial reporting, month-end processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and overseeing AP/AR
- Proficiency in using Netsuite or similar accounting software
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
