Description
- Oversee and uplift the performance of the Accounting team by managing, training, developing, and motivating staff.
- Ensure the timely completion of the monthly financial close process and the distribution of reports.
- Guarantee the precision and reliability of the Aderant accounting software.
- Execute journal entries, manage bank reconciliations, and perform account analyses.
- Manage all banking and treasury operations, including daily cash flow monitoring and coordinating with lawyers and banks on escrow transactions.
- Supervise the invoice and expense reimbursement processing using Chrome River and Aderant systems.
- Handle the semi-monthly payroll processing and its associated journal entries.
- Oversee the management of 401(k) contributions, schedules, forfeitures, and loan documentation.
- Calculate fee participations and originations.
- Review and analyze Partner Business Development and Marketing expenses.
- Manage Partner expense accounts in Quicken. Calculate adjustments for partner auto lease payments.
- Provide support during the annual financial statement review process.
- Lead the audit process for the 401(k) benefit plan. Participate in teams responsible for system upgrades and new implementations.
- Address ad hoc requests and undertake special projects as needed.
- College degree with a major in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Law firm or professional service experience
- Experience with Aderant or Elite
- Experience with Ceridian and/or Chrome River a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
