Responsibilities:
- Perform and manage all accounting functions, including but not limited to general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, assets, etc.
- Perform and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and accounting close processes.
- Prepare financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax and financial reporting standards.
- Ensure all financial operations are compliant with governmental rules and regulations, including sales tax and property tax filings.
- Work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve the business goals and objectives.
- Analyze, forecast, and manage cash flow that meets the needs of the business.
- Oversee the budget process and work with managers to produce and manage effective budgets.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and systems, implementing optimization.
- Train, develop, and manage the accounting staff in the day-to-day performance of their job.
- Oversee and manage the logistics department.
- Train, develop, and manage the logistics staff in the day-to-day performance of their job.
- Manage customer and vendor contracts from the negotiation stage to execution, tracking terms and expiration, communicating with vendors and customers as needed.
- Manage customer requests for proposals (RFP), requests for quotation (RFQ) and requests for information (RFI).
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of hands-on experience performing daily accounting functions with a good understanding of accounting concepts, financial reporting standards and best practices
- 5+ years experience managing accounting personnel and department
- A proven leader with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, along with analytical skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written including presentation skills
- Oil and gas accounting experience, preferred
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
