A healthcare organization in Baltimore County, MD seeks an experienced Accounting Manager
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Manage and supervise accounting staff.
· Review and management of cash, payroll, A/R and A/P processing.
· Review and management of reconciliations and maintenance of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
· Review and approve general ledger coding.
· Review and analyze revenue allocations and expense trend analysis.
· Develop curriculum for training intended to assist program managers understand their role as it relates to the finance department.
· Work with CFO to develop and implement finance department policies and procedures.
· Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
· Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
· Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends.
· Implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.
· Develop and oversee internal controls to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements.
· Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
· Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles.
· Develop and maintain financial databases and computer software systems.
· Work with the CFO to develop strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the organization.
