Summary
The Accounting Manager will assist the Controller with the month end close process, with the day-to-day financial operations of their brands, and with oversight of staff. The Accounting Manager has overall responsibility for the integrity of the general ledger, general accounting functions and the maintenance of appropriate controls for their IFC (Industrial Flow Control) brands.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for integrity of the general ledger and the maintenance of appropriate controls.
- Responsibility for the monthly close process and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts for multiple IFC brands across multiple ERPs.
- Work closely with FP&A in preparation of monthly management reporting.
- Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants.
- Provides request and support to external auditors for year end and as required.
- Provide professional financial and accounting support to operational initiatives.
- Responsible for sales and use tax and property tax, including coordination of information sharing with external tax provider.
- Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to management for multiple IFC brands.
- Provide support for special ad-hoc projects and analytics as required.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Must have strong communication skills, be a team player and coachable, and a self-starter. Exceptional at managing competing priorities. Ability to comfortably work in a high-volume environment and manage multiple projects for FCG's various brand companies.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA Preferred) .
- Understanding of GAAP accounting and applicable regulations.
- 5+ years of progressive experience
- Self-starter; ability to effectively work independently and as a team player.
- Excellent customer-facing experience, strong communication skills & time management.
- Skilled and proficient with Microsoft Excel (advanced Excel).
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
- Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English.
