Great opportunity for a Staff Accountant looking to take the next step in their career! We are looking for someone who is ambitious and enthusiastic about starting the next chapter of their career and head the accounting department for our client.
The Accounting Manager position is responsible for overseeing the financial operations related to the sales and distribution of beer products. Their role involves managing accounts, maintaining financial records, and ensuring the company’s finances align with industry regulations. The position is responsible for leading and managing the financial activities and reporting processes. You will ensure compliance with both corporate policies and governmental regulations, maintain accurate financial records, and support operational success by providing financial insights.
• Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Monitor cash flow, and ensure timely billing, collections, and payments
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements
• Ensure compliance with state and federal alcohol regulations and tax laws, including excise taxes
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making
• Coordinate audits and work closely with external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Collaborate with management to optimize financial processes and cost controls
• Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets
• Manage inventory accounting, including monitoring stock levels and cost analysis
• Support the company in managing vendor relationships, pricing, and procurement strategies
• Supervise and manage accounting staff
• Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consult with Human Resources as appropriate.
