We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our thriving Finance team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial operations as you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting department. This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and coordinating all financial activities and personnel.
2. Setting controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments.
3. Standardizing and maintaining a system of accounting records and techniques.
4. Conducting internal audits to assess financial status.
5. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
6. Preparing annual budgets, completing the year-end close process, and creating forecasts.
7. Implementing, modifying, and documenting recordkeeping and accounting systems.
8. Conducting financial analysis, cash flow management, and tax preparation.
9. Preparing and presenting financial reports for meetings and investors.
10. Collaborating with external auditors and managing the audit process.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting or financial management role.
3. Proven experience with year-end processes, annual budgeting, auditing, financial analysis, tax preparation, cash flow management, financial reporting, and general ledger.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Strong analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations.
6. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
9. Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
10. Knowledge of federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
