Job Code: AINC17503Job Title: Accounting ManagerLocation: Newton Square, PennsylvaniaWe have partnered with a large Health Insurance company in the Newtown Square,PA area to provide them with a Manager of Accounting.Responsibilities· Managing certain accounting functions for existing business as well asfacilitating the implementation of new business.· Reviewing andapproving certain deliverablesprepared by the Lead Accountants,Senior Accountants and Accountants and is responsible forstaff training and theprofessional development of all direct reports.· Coordinating with Accounting Management to ensure the timeliness of themonthlyaccounting close process pursuant to the close calendarwith respect tonon-riskrevenueand expense functions· Overseeing Accounting processes and internal controls surrounding RevenueRecognition (ASC 606)· Overseeing Accounting processes and internal controls surrounding LeaseAccounting (ASC 842), including:Maintaining lease system accounting parameters(interest rates, lease revisions, etc.)· Reviewing and approving lease classifications· Reviewing and approving new lease data in the system compared to the executedagreement· Monitoring activity to identifyembedded leases· Reviewing Leasehold Improvements and pending lease options to ensure items areproperly accounted for· Facilitating quarterly lease summary meetings with various teams & obtainingCFO sign off· Overseeing Accounting processes and internal controls surrounding intercompanyand affiliate transactions and related settlement thereof· Overseeing the implementation of new business(start-up, acquisitions, jointventures, etc.) as it relates to all areas of responsibility.· Implementing and testing of new systems and processes as they relate toapplicable accounting functions.· Facilitating employee training and ensuring professional development of alldirect reports.· Reviewing and approving certainjournal entries and account reconciliationsprepared by the Lead Accountants, Senior Accountants and Accountants.· Managing and ensuring effectiveness of the internal control process as itrelates to the relevant areas of responsibility.· Assisting and/or overseeing the assistance provided to the Financial Reportingteam in the preparation of the financial deliverables as needed, including·Reporting around related party transactions·GAAP & Statutory financial statement disclosures for lease activity and variousother areas (Fixed assets, COGS, etc.)· Management of certain audit deliverables to ensure accurate provision andtimely delivery to the auditors.· Acting as a technical and operational resource for all direct reports tosupport daily functions· Identifying process inefficiencies, recommending efficient processalternatives, and facilitating the implementation of process improvements as itrelates to the areas of responsibility.Requirements * Bachelors’ degreein Accounting required * 1-3 years of Supervisory experiencerequired * 3-5 years of Progressive experiencerequired * Certified Public Accountant (CPA)required * Experience with accounting under ASC 606 and ASC 842 required. * Solid understandingof U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(US GAAP) and application thereof. * Experience with PeopleSoft of similarERP systempreferred * Proficient withMicrosoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint * Experience at apublic accounting firmpreferred * Experience withlease accounting softwarepreferredBenefits· Medical Insurance· Dental Insurance· Vision Insurance· Life Insurance· Short Term / Long Term Disability· 401 (k) – Profit SharingSalary: 112,500/ year
