Our company is experiencing rapid growth, and we are seeking an Accounting Manager that is going to roll up their sleeves to build the accounting infrastructure and processes that will support the US business growth in a fast yet controlled manner. We are looking for an Accounting Manager who is comfortable and confident in a growing company, who is familiar with the pace of such businesses, and is able to prioritize building a scalable, efficient accounting and reporting function. The person must be willing to flex their role to get the job done and deliver across all areas of finance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end financial close process, including all revenue and expenses are properly recorded and balance sheet reconciliations are complete across multiple entities.
- Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Responsible for daily cash and bank transactions, collaborating on Financial systems reconfiguration and implementation, and building and overseeing the order to cash AR balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ownership over daily and monthly banking activities, including cash, credit cards, and statement reconciliations
- Oversee the process of monthly bank reconciliations and ensure it is reconciled within the financial system.
- Maintain records for accruals and prepaids as evidenced through supervisory review of prepaid expense and insurance schedules.
- Assist in preparation of management reporting of revenue and operating expenditure with insights and analysis of business drivers (financial and non-financial) with a view of cost control /optimization, reduce adverse variance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process.
- Assist in preparing year-end-accounts and statutory accounts. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, timely and effective audit process for US Entities.
- Providing support to and manage timely and effective audits.
- Assist in building a scalable and efficient accounting function.
- Manage monthly financial closing activities, procedures, and account reconciliations.
- Develop and document accounting and financial reporting SOPs and internal controls.
- Strategic support to the management team, including development of budgets and forecasts, key metrics reports, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Assist in the upgrade, reconfiguration, and implementation of financial systems including General Ledger, billing, T&E, and AP procurement
- Responsible for recording Fixed Asset additions, disposals, and transfers.
- Assist the year-end financial statement audit in collaboration with external auditors, as well as any statutory audits that may arise
- Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes.
- Supervise, train, assign duties and special projects, monitor, and evaluate job performance of assigned staff in accordance with the Agency procedures and policies.

Qualifications
- BS in Accounting with 10+ years of Accounting experience
- Ability to adapt and pivot in a dynamic and changing environment
- Strong hands on accounting responsibility working day to day with senior accountant team
- Proven US GAAP and internal controls experience
- Strong experience in end-to-end processes for month end close, functional reporting, cash flow forecasting and preparation of statutory accounts
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex accounting queries
- Positive attitude: 'can do' approach and willing to give everything a go from manual processing to larger projects
- Excellent prioritization and organization skills: ability to plan and organize work efficiently and effectively
- Ability to comprehend and narrate financial records for external stakeholders
- Experience in large ERP accounting software (Netsuite is a plus)
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
