As the Accounting Manager, you will have a wide range of responsibilities exercising discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance including but not limited to performing month-end close, reconciliation of accounts, preparing financial statements, and other duties as needed to support the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete a wide range of month-end close-related responsibilities
- Weekly payroll completion for 75-100 employees
- Prepare general ledger entries with proper records and files
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
- Prepare documentation for annual audit performed by an external accounting firm
- Assist with job costing/accounting
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and company procedures
- Perform ad-hoc research and projects as needed.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum Experience: 5+ years previous Accounting or Finance preferred
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Minimum Qualifications and CORE Competencies
- Intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills
- Must have strong communication skills and be highly deadline and detail oriented
- Adept at handling multiple projects and deliverable simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for innovation, continuous improvement and evolution
