Job Details
The primary function in this role is to manage and perform accounting operations and monitor internal controls.
Essential Job Functions:
- Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions.
- Manage all the functions and aspects of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate and prepare monthly internal financial statements.
- Evaluate and manage financial risks to the Company.
- Coordinate preparation of annual reviewed financial statements (issued by independent accounting firm).
- Manage the budget and forecast process.
- Coordinate banking and financial relationships.
- Assess current accounting operations, implement improvements and new processes when needed.
- Evaluate and oversee accounting and internal control systems and implement improvements as needed.
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics to support the Executive Team.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
- Oversee sales tax regulatory requirements and filing.
- Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff.
- Oversee and monitor 401(k) reporting in Coordination with HR Director.
- Perform financial analysis and modeling.
- Prepare and present monthly financial results to the Executive Team
- Participate in and provide support for key strategic growth initiatives including acquisitions and expansion.
Education and/or experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- BS/BA degree or above in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA License or CMA Certification preferred.
