Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and supporting financial reporting and compliance efforts. The Accounting Manager will also play a key role in process improvement initiatives and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage and perform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and support in their professional growth.
- Assist with external audits and ensure accurate and timely submission of audit deliverables.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
- Implement and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support the Controller or Finance Director with ad hoc projects and reporting as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with internal controls and process improvement initiatives is a plus.
