Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards, state and federal laws and regulations. This role involves managing the day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations, preparing financial statements, and developing financial forecasting and strategies to support organizational goals. The Accounting Manager is responsible for financial records, accounts payable, payroll processing, general ledger transactions, tax reporting, government reporting and audits.
Essential Functions:
Accounts Payable, Expense Tracking,Financial Record Keeping, Payroll Processing,Bank Reconciliation, Financial Analysis and Forecasting, Financial Reporting,Budget Management,Supervise Accounting Staff, Accounts Receivable Management,Compliance, Process Improvement, Year End, Audits.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years cumulative qualified experience, with 1 year in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Experience in all Accounting functions: A/P, A/R, Payroll, Banking, Credit Cards, etc.
- Advanced skills related to Excel, and other Microsoft or Google tools.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using ERP Financial Systems
- Experience Integrating new IT systems preferred
- Experience closing books using accrual basis accounting method.
