Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Lead the process of financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis and reporting.
- Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
- Work closely with audit teams to ensure internal controls over financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements and other reporting documents.
- Analyze financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of financial management and reporting.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
- Knowledge of federal regulation on financial reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly with accounting software and spreadsheet programs.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
