POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The QSS Accounting and Ops Specialist will be responsible for daily cash flow analysis through monitoring QSS’ corporate bank account, ensuring accurate and timely entries are made in accounting system for bank transactions and assist on ad-hoc basis request.
QSS has several subcontractors and clients. QSS Billing Specialist will be responsible for processing the subcontractor’s invoices and create invoices for clients.
QSS Accounting and Ops Specialist will be responsible for tracking the performance index of QSS and moderating the internal reporting and outside investor reporting.
TPO is poised to be the fastest growing segment of solar due to rising interest rates and the Inflation Reduction Act. Qcells is particularly well positioned to take advantage of this market due to the domestic content tax credit adder, existing relationships with dealers, and a quality point-of-sale financing platform. The QSS team is responsible for ensuring the quality of our assets and O&M(Operation and Maintenance) for the contract period.
This position is based in our San Francisco, CA office and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours may be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 20%.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring daily banking and merchant transactions and report daily cash status
- Deposit checks and research non standard transactions and resolve accordingly
- Create the internal approval processes for vendor bills
- Manage payment back-up documents and follow up AP inquires with vendors and internal teams
- Coordinate, maintain and update vendor info through accounting software
- Tracking the performance index of QSS and report to the Head of QSS team
- Create a regular report for internal management and outside investor
- Analyze employees’ expense reimbursement requests
- Act as a liaison between the company and external parties to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes
- Support tax related obligation
- Support internal and external financial audit processes
- Support ad-hoc projects and reports as needed
- Maintain constant communications with other company groups and departments locally and globally.
- All other duties as assigned by the Head of QSS team or upper management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting
- 3+ years of working with companies in public or private accounting
- Minimum 1 year experience with NetSuite
- Advanced level of computer skills: MS Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
- Experience in tax filing (CA S&U, 1099 and other local tax filing)
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Data analysis and reporting skills
- Ability to identify and develop key strategic partnerships
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- High degree of professionalism and conduct
- Must be comfortable interfacing outside the company, including executive presentations, negotiations, and contractual review
- Must be self-motivated, creative, and possess strategic planning skills
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time
- Korean Bilingual speaking and writing capability
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA Certification
- Experience in the energy or finance industry
- Experience utilizing software such as NetSuite
