Work Hours: 40 hours per week. Hours are subject to change based on financial and program requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Associates degree in Accounting. Will consider a combination of related work experience and education.

Experience with Microsoft Office products required.
-
Experience in non-profit/public accounting a plus.
-
Experience with AS 400 computer fiscal system helpful.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for accounting and financial functions of the agency such as:
-
Process biweekly payroll.
-
Process year-end W2’s.
-
Data entry and process fiscal operations on computer.
-
Assist with documentation for payment of bills, process checks and reports each week.
-
Process monthly general ledgers and budgets for agency grants/programs.
-
Assist with year-end 1099 processing, if needed.
-
Assist with preparation of annual financial statement, if needed.
-
Prepare general journal entries.
-
Assist with completion of monthly reports.
-
Responsible for maintaining contract and lease files, making sure that they are up-to-date and have all documentation on file for payment purposes.

Assist with filing.
-
Responsible for contract/grant requirements for the following programs:
-
Head Start
-
Early Head Start
-
Child Development
-
Food Service
-
Others as assigned
-

Assist with preparation of monthly budget meetings with project directors for contracts/grants as assigned by analyzing current costs, revenues to predict future revenues and expenses.

Record deposits weekly.
-
Reconciling the monthly deposits with the monthly bank statement.
-
Assist with ordering program supplies/materials as directed.
-
Maintain Agency Fixed Assets under $5000. Assist with other fixed asset scheduled as needed.

Assist with mail and phone duties as needed.

Assist in cross training of other fiscal staff.
-
Be willing to attend trainings as necessary.

Use initiative in work planning and scheduling.
