Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of Senior Manager, Cost Accounting. Position serves as a key business partner to the T&Q organization offering key financial and strategic insights related to Product Costing and overall COGM/S management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively Participate in the month-end close process, including inventory balance, activity adjustments, and reconciliation.
- Analyze material price variances, GR/IR transactions, and detailed inventory movements for anomalies
- Prepare journals related to inventory costing, overhead management, I/C transactions, and other items to ensure accurate financials
- Lead initiatives to address system/process issues to ensure efficient operations
- Assist with inventory control preparation, design, and monitoring.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with business partners, including manufacturing, quality, technical operations, and accounting peers, to facilitate the inventory and cost accounting processes.
- Manage overhead product capitalization and allocations.
- Complete and submit timely forecasts and annual budgets for production volumes, purchases, CMO cost, and COGS.
- Support quarterly and annual audit PBC list requests.
- Perform inventory and cost accounting monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partner with the manufacturing organization to reconcile CMO inventory reports to SAP inventory balances and activity.
- Reconcile SAP to Oracle trial balances and generate correcting journal entries when required.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- Cost Accounting experience
- Advanced expertise in SAP and/or Oracle OPM costing.
- Minimum 8 12 (w/o Master's) or 6 8 years (with Master's) years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience using Hyperion, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint is a plus.
- Experience/exposure to Financial Reporting is a plus.
